Sprouted bread is thought to have first been made by the Essenes a religious sect or brotherhood that flourished in Palestine from about the 2nd.century B.C. to the end of the 1st. century A.D. PURE LIFE commenced producing sprouted bread in 1988 at Myocum and moved to Yamba two years later.
