About Gourmet Afrika
Matilda Scarfe was born in South Africa, and migrated to Australia in 1983. Her love for cooking prompted her to open a restaurant. Matilda started cooking her products under the label Figtree Cottage. They proved to be very popular. In 2001 she sold the restaurant and the products, to retire. Her retirement lasted two months! Matilda re-invented her products under the label Gourmet Afrika, and is as busy as ever, creating new products.
