New Delights for the New Year

Posted on February 29th, 2012 by Jess Causley

Hi There Deli Friends,

It’s been a while since my fingers have hit the keyboard for this purpose, now that I am logged back in I am starting to realise how much I have missed writing to your unknown eyes. We are hoping to be back blogging again with lots of news from our little ever-changing deli in Yamba. Here goes with what has excited us this week in the Deli.

Carbs, carbs, carbs… We love them! Is there anything better than bowl full of pasta or a yummy slice of fresh bread with Nan’s Jam smothered over a nice even layer of Bangal0w Butter? We have been in search of a scrumptious bread in the shop for quite some time now and this week our search has come to an end.

As of Friday afternoon we are getting in Heart Breads from Byron Bay, we’re starting off with what we are told are some of the favourites- Big Bertha which is a Classic White Sourdough, Corn Bread (made from 50/50 Polenta and Plain Organic), a Seedy Spelt (made from 100% spelt sourdough & Linseeds), a Fruit & Nut Loaf (filled with Australian Sultanas & Currants, Cinamon & local Macs) and last but certainly not least an Olive Loaf (made from only the finest of olives from Summerland Olives in Casino- We stock the olives in our shop too because they are so good). We are super excited about our newest find and hope you are getting excited too, have a look on the Heart Breads website and pop in to the shop on Friday to see for yourself just how yummy bread can be!
